Grimspite is a moderate-sized tom. His pelt is black, but he has a white underbelly and paws. Almond-shaped, yellow eyes peer scathingly from his longish fur, and he has an air about him that suggests that you keep away.
[Personality]
Grimspite is distant. He hardly shows any emotion, but angers easily. His temper is short, and once you get him going, there’s sure to be trouble. He has a soft spot for his sister, Marblelily, but he hardly shows it. He bickers often with almost every cat in every Clan. Even though he is gruff, he is gentle with injured cats and speaks kindly to them and treats them well. But when they're well, it's over.
[History]
Grimspite was born to a regular queen in SapphireClan. His father was mysterious, nobody knew who he was. Grimspite's mother refused to tell anybody, trying to protect her kits from harm. Marblekit was his only other sibling, the complete opposite of Grimspite in every way. She had a brown and white pelt with pretty green eyes. She was rambunctious and playful. She surpassed Grimspite in every aspect of warrior life and she knew it. Feeling left out, Grimspite spent most of his time alone, hardly speaking to anybody while Marblekit was the center of attention.
At 6 moons, Grimspite and his sister both became apprentices. His sister exceeded him in all categories, hunting, fighting, stalking while Grimspite struggled with all. Unwilling to continue, he gave up.
Leaving the camp, intent on running away and becoming a loner, he ran into a ferocious looking cat. Terrified, he tried to run away, but the rouge had already pinned him down. A patrol happened to be nearby, and heard his shrieks of terror and came to his aid. Grimspite managed to wriggle free, but the tom ran after him, ignoring the other cats clawing and attacking him. Since Grimspite could not fight well, he ran blindly through the territory, but his hind paw got caught in a field full of reeds.
His mother had been with the patrol and snuck up on the rogue and attacked. He clawed at Grimspite and gave him a deep shoulder gash before turning on his mother. They fought for a while, but finally, the rogue pinned her down and was seconds away from biting her throat when she managed to stammer, “Grimpaw, this rogue is your father," before she died.
Grimspite staggered back to camp and was forced to stay with the medicine cat for a moon. The medicine cat knew that Grimspite did not like being a regular apprentice and offered him the spot of medicine cat apprentice. The young tom eagerly accepted and learned quickly. After about 12 moons, he received his full medicine cat name. He took over more duties until the old medicine cat died, and he took his place. Now he is the current SapphireClan medicine cat.
