We all know how on the old site alot of people went inacitve. Well, many of those people who went inactive had alot of charries, some that were very impotrant or were in alot of threads. Many members had a number of charries ranging between 4 to mid 20's. And when a bunch of them started to leave, everything went downhill.
I think there should a limit number of how many charries a member can have, like maybe at least 8 or 10 characters. And if a member wants to make another character but has the limit number already, he or she could get rid of a character they least roleplay. That way, we would have less of a chance of something like this happening again.
We should also have a limit of how many kits should be in a litter, because that is another reason. There were so many kits in the clans that things started getting out of control. Perhaps 2 or 3 in a litter? And there should be a number of days before a Queen can have another litter. Like maybe a week or two? One more thing, since the setting takes place out in the wild, not that many kits would be able to survive into apprenticeship, especially in Leaf-bare. Perhaps there could be more kit deaths? I know it's sad to think about, but that's the wild for ya.
What do you guys think?

I agree, but maybe it should be every 3 weeks to a month for a litter, account wise. If you have like three queens and they have a litter every 3 weeks with two cats per, that is 6 kittens all together. I wouldn't think someone would want to do that, but it is a possibility.
Anywho: One cat. One account. Every 3-4weeks per litter. Two or Three cat LIMIT per litter. That should keep the population from flooding over.

I've never seen a problem with the number of characters people have. Some people can handle a lot of characters, others can't. I trust people to use their judgement on how many characters they should have. I don't like setting a limit because some people actually can be responsible. This "one size fits all" idea never works; problems should be solved by a case-by-case basis.
For instance, if someone has proven that they aren't very active to begin with, the staff should keep that person from creating any more characters until they show that they can get active and stay there.
I do think litters of three or four or less is a good idea, since I haven't seen many that were any more. I don't think killing more kits would help though, since if someone knew the kit was going to day, no one would want to roleplay it. Besides, a lot of characters' histories talk of littermates who didn't live till apprenticeship, so even if it's not roleplayed out, apparently it is happening.
A female clan cat should only be having kits once she's a warrior, and can only have a second litter after her first litter is apprenticed; therefore, one litter every six IC months. Few queens in the series chose to live in the nursery that much, so we shouldn't have so many here. I believe that it should be the leaders' roleplayers jobs to decide which queens may have litters and which may not, for the sake of the clan.

Maybe when somone wants to have kits they PM a staff member and we like...
Roll dice for how many they can have? Something like that? Like, pick a number randomly between 2 and 4?

I really like your idea, Night. How about doing that?
I still think there should some kind of limit to keep things from over flowing. Instead of 8 or 10, how about 20 as the limit? Afterall, the only people that I can remember who had about 20 charries were Arctic and Elli and I think Feathers.

Or we could copy Four Clans of the Forest; every time a queen wants to have kits, they contact a staff member, who decides how many kits, their genders, and their colors. And for the staff who's cats want kits, they have another staff member do it. i dun lyk limits. But if you people out-vote me, then I guess we'll have one anyway. *pouts*

I never liked the idea of Staffies picking the kits colors and all, I mean they're the players kits, not the staffs.
I just dont like players always having 6 kits or something. I think between 2 and 6 sounds good, eh?
