Hey guys, it's your long lost friend Night! I was just about crying with feline nostalgia, so I decided to send out a mass email! I'm trying to, at the very least, have a reunion. And if enough people reply, maybe we can get this site going again! It'll be just like the good ol' days! So far, the people that've replied are: - Me
- Sea
- Bright
- and Hail
- And a whole buncha other people.
Also, see that beautiful little countdown at the bottom of the page? The "500 days SINCE we can start spamming Elli"? Well it's been 500 DAYS SINCE WE'VE BEEN ALLOWED TO SPAM ELLI. So let's get spamming.

Heh. I miss this place. Nope, I'm still kicking around, not dead yet! Actually, I had some ideas fer if we actually thought we could pull off bringing the place back. I was thinking, four entire clans are a bit much for so few of us to run. So, what if we started out with a single clan somewhere, made up of renegade cats, y'know loners and such, kind of pulling a SkyClan maneuver, and just had fun with that? If we get populated enough, we could turn it into a plot device and have the clan split into two. This would be kinda like creating our own universe here, too, 'cause we'd be creating rules as we go, just like our cats all getting together for the first time and trying to figure stuff out. Start everything from scratch, both IC and OoC. Sound fun? It sounds like a real good adventure to me! And, I figure, we all know each other well enough to be able to work well together by now, right?

Sounds awesome! Skyclan? Huh? Sorry, never read past the 4th book.
Also- an idea- on the old site we were continually saying "STARRY NEEDS TO POST HERE, HAIL FORGOT TO DO SUCH AND SUCH"
Howsabout we make a board that all members can edit thats like, a to-do board. And each person gets a thread, and when someone hasn't been replying, you can go edit their to-do thread to say like "Reply to 'Afternoon Hunt'" or something.

Oooh, I like that idea. SkyClan was this old, forgotten fifth clan that got chased away and tried to start again in this place far away but died and so StarClan told Firestar and Sandstorm to go and rebuild it, and so they went to where SkyClan tried to live and gathered a bunch of loners who were interested and restarted the clan and then went home. =O

Honestly, I don't really like the idea of there being only one Clan. What I mean is that alot of warriors rpiers like making various cats for different clans. Also, with only one clan, there dosen't seem like you can do anything unless you bring in different animal threats(and there are, or have been, alot of warrior rpgs like that).
I'm not trying to be mean, and I hope I'm not insulting you, Sea. But I do agree with cutting down the number of Clans, maybe just start out with two and work up from that? Ooh! Idea!
Okay so, like Sea suggests, the clans have been wiped out except for a few cats and they come together and form a Clan. But they move to a different place to restart their lives. Even taking in a few rouges and loners to get their ranks up. But instead of fully restarting from scratch, how about this takes place after 20-30 moons after they moved to their new territory. And over that period the rouges and loners, who were chased away when the Clan set down its border and other reasons, decide to join together as a group to stand up against them. But this group of rouges and loners began to adopt the Clan's ways, like group patrols, mentoring, a medicine cat(but can't talk to Starclan just yet), rituals, they even gave themselves a Clan name. (like if we still choose to use gem names, their Clan name would be a gem as well) Most even have a clancat name, but not all.
But after 20-30 moons, the clan cats aren't fully aware of the copycat Clan of rouges, except for a few traces of scents and a cat or two. The reason why is because the copycat clan is waiting until they have enough cats to attack and drive out the clan cats, so that they have the forest all to themselves once again.
We could also make another Clan or two overtime, once we get enough members anyway, and that Clan(s) would choose which side they will fight on and etc.
Oops, I didn't mean for it to so long(it's long to me). I also like your idea of a to-do board, Night. I can just picture myself over there and typing "MEMBER! GET YOUR BLANK OVER TO THIS THREAD AND POST ALREADY!!! GAAAHHH!!!!! *falls off chair*" (don't worry, I'm not that type of person to do something like that) lol

Gypsy Cat Clan! – A caravan-style clan of misfits, non-believers, or the shunned...
I like the thought of one clan despite its lack of role-play scenarios. Only one >Based< Clan would be a good idea. The main, the Elite, the spurious. We could make our own Ebook(ish) story about the clans falling apart and this is how they came back. Like everyone else said, no one has to always be related and we can make other clans as we go and create our own new-style environments.

Oh hay.
Two clans. StarClan believing and... Not.
Religious war. Need I say more?

Alright...so it's looking like we're leaning towards the idea of two groups of cats. D'you think it's alright if I start cropping down the boards, then? We can always change the names and sub-boards around, but I want to start changing...stuff. So like...instead of the four clan group things we've got now, I bump it down to two? I figured I'd also go fishing, and so here are some of the ideas we came up with before: Ok, so we need, in my opinion, a new kind of theme. Animals, those are good. Cats? No. Too overplayed. Dogs/wolves? F*** no! Great for roleplaying; one of my favorite things, but theres a MILLION canine rps. Horses? No. PENGUINS? .... Maybe? Something in Asia? Or Europe? Dragons? FISH? ..... Mice or rabbits? Rabbits sound fun; they live in large groups, and theres plenty of danger for them to run into. Idea number one: OK there was this site I used to belong to this warrior site were instead of kind of northern themes it was Egyptian and they had the gods and everything, but to edit this idea and keep to cooler climates we could use native American theme style, and use totem animals as guide sent from the spirit clan? Like the great spirit. We could rename the clans to fit the totem animals((I'll do some research on this so it can be accurate)) We could do something with Birds, I mean, that's kinda different. I have't seen too many sites dealing with birds. Also, we could do something following someting else Nightwhisper said, like a mythical era. Complete with dragons, elves, nymphs, and other animals like that. We should keep the Clan names, cause the link does say "clansofthegems". I say we should try the Cult plot that we thought of doing on the old site. Or maybe even have vampire cats as a plot. I don't know. Maybe we have a crazy disaster plot in which all four clans ban together into one, and then we get a whole host of new animals in their own groups, so in the end we have a clan of cats, a flock of birds, a pack of wolves (maybe some feral dogs too), a herd of horses (or moose, moose are fun). We could create more exciting neutral territories to promote the growth of individual characters and develop more diverse habitats. Stick some mountains, beaches, tundras, and deserts on this forum or something. Make any animal (realistic, no dragons or unicorns) roleplayable, with the disclaimer that if you decide to create a mouse you're in danger of being eaten by a kitty. So...what if we combine all these things? Natural disaster hits, all four clans are forced to bind together to survive...which they do, but only barely-- by the time the worst is over, most of their cats have been lost, leaving too small a number of cats for more than a single clan. They decide to remain together as a clan, and are left to pick out a leader, deputy, and medicine cat from who's left. Then...they must find a new home. It's a long journey, but they do eventually make it to a new place that seems safe enough. It just so happens to be right next to a cult of cats, who seem completely unable to speak to their ancestors, and yet have these weird totem things... But that's not all. It turns out, Midnight isn't the only non-feline who can talk. [insert suspense here?]

Just because it's expected, I must flaunt my opinion once more to make sure that it's not been forgotten.
RELIGIOUS WARS AND BUNNIES.
I just finished reading Watership Down, so Bunnies are all you're gonna hear from me for a while.

You know what's both funny and sad, I can't remember the Cult plot that apparently was thought of long ago, lol.
Well, it was an idea that I just thought in the moment, and wasn't all thought out. I'm sorry I made it sounded like a religious war or something like that, I never even thought of that and to me it sounded cool. But I do like Sea's idea of combining the ideas and having a huge disaster and them moving to a new spot and finding a Cult of cats. It sounds really interesting.
The thing is I don't know anything about totems, except that they're wooden carvings of animals, that's about it.

Well, the totems thing could be something we figure out as we go along. We could even scratch it entirely in favor of something else for the cult; no need to have everything all set up before we start.
At this point though, I'd like to set up the boards to match what it is we want to do. So far we like the clan vs. cult idea, with the opportunity to roleplay different species?

That's a neat idea, the figuring out as we go along thing. It'll make things interesting and even suspenseful(depending on how we do it and what's happening of course).
I also agree with getting rid of the boards and setting up new ones(or however it's done), and keep the ones we need; like the ooc board, character making board, etc. I also think we should delete most of the old threads. If we decide to keeps any of our posts/threads, that we should is copy them then delete the old one(s), and paste the one(s) we copied to a new thread. That way the posts would seem..erm...(can't think of a good word)...newer. The reason why is because I've been on sites where they've gone dead for a long period of time, then decide to become active again have all of these posts from months ago, and then the sites die again shortly after trying to revive them.
It's just a theory of mine, but I think that that's the reason why people don't sites that are trying to make a comeback, is because of the really old posts. Though I could be wrong. It's just something I've notice from time to time.
Also, sorry if it doesn't make any sense. I have trouble explaining things most of the times.

Naw, I totally get you. I've already moved all the old threads into archives, except the important rules and stuff, so we're pretty cleaned up. At this point I'm just looking for the heads up to move ahead with the switching of the boards.
And, question, if we intend to move ahead with this plot, where do we want to start roleplaying? Do we want to roleplay the disaster? The journey? Or would we rather start with a new set-up camp and jump right into the religious war? (I'm kind of favoring the third option, under the impression that the first two will take way too long)

Third one. Clan vs cult. So are we including other animals or what? Can we have a summary? Also, FEATHERS IS BACKKKKKKKK Also also, I had better redo the header. I'll get to work on that.
EDIT- Alsotimes3, we need to change the layout. Or at least the header.
If we change the layout, what colors does everyone like?

Other animals is fine by me.
What I wish to know is how the Cult is setup. Like will they have clan-like names or regular names? I will also say that I'm not goin to start making charries any time soon, because I'm pretty busy right now and will be for a while.
I'm okay with any colors, just not too bright or too dark. That's all.(i really like green if that helps). One more thing, please don't have blue color words on red or the other way around. The words seem to bounce and it tends to give me migraines.
