Clans of the Gems has returned.
This is a new site, with a new head admin, and some new rules. Kinda. Firstly, we're still a little unfinished 'cause I want opinions on how to do what's left. Heck, I want opinions on everything! We moved to clean up and get organized, to start over. If we can't like what we are from the beginning, what's the point?
So, I haven't put in the boards for the separate dens in the clan camps because I feel they're underused. Who posts in the elders' den, really? And I haven't seen a thread take place in a den for the entire thread. The cats always move out of it. I figured we could just keep it all one board, but if you guys want me to put in the dens, I will.
Then, the skins. We have a lot, back on the old site. I'm planning on redoing all the skins to give the place a new look and feel, but that won't be for a while. I hope to bring them all over the next few days, but I just got a new job, (my first!) so we'll see about that. Night, you can do that part without me, right?
Second, the roleplayers of the clan leaders now have new responsibilities. For one thing, they have to be active. This hasn't always been true in the past, and I will be making an attempt at fixing that. If you can't be active, you'll be replaced with someone who can. Unless everybody's inactive, which had better not happen again. Leaders must keep a roster of their clan and general information for their members at their Highrock or the like (the first board in every clan's category). I will expect them to be aware of everything that goes on in their clan OoCly, if not ICly.
Third, every character you roleplay must have a profile. If you have had one profile already approved, you can post right into the Accepted Profiles board, but otherwise post in the Pending Profiles board. Changed my mind. When creating profiles (or bringing them over from the old site) create them in the Pending Profiles board. Night or I will move them to the right place when we have time. You don't have to wait for your profile to be moved before you start playing your character. However, if it's your first profile on CotG, (not counting the old site) then you must have your first profile approved by either Night or I.
This new rule means that when you adopt a kit, you must also post up a profile for that kit. Get it?
Also, try to keep your profiles up-to-date.
As of right now, only Night and I are staff. I lied again. Stealthbite will be joining us to assist in various coding and site design jobs. So now it's the three of us. This will hopefully change as we grow in size, (which I hope actually happens) so as to take up more staff, but right now, Night and I are all that are needed.
I'm holding an activity check now, too. This will help leaders get a head start on their jobs and...well, decide who our leaders will be!
