Do we have a main plot yet? Don't advertise until we do or at least have one to work off of while we perfec-it. Not having a main plot before we put it on the 'market' shows bad leadership.

*counts* In one week, three people responded to this thread. Four of us are what counts for active around here. Three more people have logged in within the month of September: -silence-, EternalFire(Starfur), and Teal. So...best case scenario, seven active- ish, in the loosest definition of the word, members of CotG remain. This isn't looking too good guys. How badly do you really want to get this site back up again? 'Cause I am seriously considering abandoning CotG. That's not to say I'm leaving and you'll never hear from me again; I'll stick around as long as you need me, as long as you want to keep the place on life support. I'm not going to let you down. But six months ago, when Elli flipped out and said the board was dying, she was right. I didn't believe her, 'cause I hadn't been around long enough to know just how active we used to be. But she was right. We never got back up to that level of activity, did we? We just slowly spiraled downward... Sorry, I'm being all depressing. It happens when I'm sick. But I'm fresh out of ideas, guys. As far as I can tell, and I know I'm being a total wet blanket here but I can't help it: as far as I can tell, nothing we do could save this place. And, frankly, I've lost my muse for CotG. It's ded. D-e-d, ded. I'd laugh if it wasn't so sad. But, I mean, I still enjoy roleplaying warriors, just...not here. I'm over at FCotF now, far more active there than I am here. I'd like it if you jumped over and joined, me, 'cause I'm lonely. Just beginning to make some friends. I'm Pitch, if you so decided to join up. [Linkage]So, who still wants to keep CotG open? I mean, really wants to? I'm no help in the creativity department anymore, so it's up to you to come up with a new plot. I can advertise and help out, if this is really what you want to do, but I'm just afraid we're going to run into the dirt again. Right here, right now, is the lowest we've ever sunk, and I honestly don't think we can dig ourselves out of this one. Slap me if I'm wrong, 'cause I would love to be.

One of our problems is, is that we aren't being creative enough in the story. We are following the main story, basically, just with different names and areas. Not to mention look at the overwhelming amount of other Warrior Cat Roleplaying sites lurking around proboards and the internet. If we do start advertising we will be battling those sites for members. We need to sound appealing, interesting, and have something that not a lot of the other sites have, a difference.
I personally would love to have CotG live on strong, but it is very hard to make threads and reply posts when their isn't enough 'spark' or 'want' too. At this one vampire site i go too, fading time, I love roleplaying there because it is different than most of the vampire sites (even if we aren't advertising right now). That's one of the main problems here.
There is so much we can do to this site to save it. Elli just wasn't being a good leader if she let her site die like that, she abandoned it, lost interest in it if you didn't notice, and that made it fall. Also, change the advertising advertisment...

If all we need to do is advertise and add some spice to CotG then I'm all for it, because anything creative is my department but not to sound cruel or anything but I'm not really willing to put into a massive amount of my time into something were only a few people are really into it and are actually putting forth an effort then other s are not to get this site running again like it used to. Since there are really only seven people who are active then this can be made a team effort. I personally would love to see the site as active as it was when I joined it (Feb 2007)when it was still new and very active. (I feel so old )

Ok, so we need, in my opinion, a new kind of theme.
Animals, those are good.
Cats? No. Too overplayed. Dogs/wolves? F*** no! Great for roleplaying; one of my favorite things, but theres a MILLION canine rps. Horses? No. PENGUINS? .... Maybe?
Something in Asia? Or Europe? Dragons? FISH? .....
Mice or rabbits?
Rabbits sound fun; they live in large groups, and theres plenty of danger for them to run into.
Anyone read/seen watership down?

Idea number one: OK there was this site I used to belong to this warrior site were instead of kind of northern themes it was Egyptian and they had the gods and everything, but to edit this idea and keep to cooler climates we could use native American theme style, and use totem animals as guide sent from the spirit clan? Like the great spirit. I've had Indians on the brain since I'm learning about the colonist and French and Indian war. Bleh We could rename the clans to fit the totem animals((I'll do some research on this so it can be accurate))

We could do something with Birds, I mean, that's kinda different. I have't seen too many sites dealing with birds.
Also, we could do something following someting else Nightwhisper said, like a mythical era. Complete with dragons, elves, nymphs, and other animals like that.
Maybe?

I don't like the idea of changing to a different species. If we do, then I may quit. I just don't like the tought of changing from cats to rabbits. I mean, what exactly could we do with rabbits that would be interesting? I like Stealth's idea of changing the plot, and making things interesting. For example, there's this one site that I joined that has an awsome setup and plot. eternalxfire.proboards100.com((if anyone wants to join, then please. I'm sorta lonely without you guys)) This site was created just a couple of weeks ago, and it is very active(to me). And it is very fun. I think we should do something like this. We should keep the Clan names, cause the link does say "clansofthegems". I say we should try the Cult plot that we thought of doing on the old site. Or maybe even have vampire cats as a plot. I don't know.

I agree with Bright on keeping with cats, and i love the idea of a cult that could be very interesting with the idea i stated before where totem animals were messengers from star clan. that idea could be woven subtly into everything just to give the site some difference from the books...yes?no?

Maybe we have a crazy disaster plot in which all four clans ban together into one, and then we get a whole host of new animals in their own groups, so in the end we have a clan of cats, a flock of birds, a pack of wolves (maybe some feral dogs too), a herd of horses (or moose, moose are fun). We could create more exciting neutral territories to promote the growth of individual characters and develop more diverse habitats. Stick some mountains, beaches, tundras, and deserts on this forum or something. Make any animal (realistic, no dragons or unicorns) roleplayable, with the disclaimer that if you decide to create a mouse you're in danger of being eaten by a kitty.
Just trying to think outside the box. :/
